Engineering Felt
Engineering felt is a unique engineering material. The properties of felt can be controlled to produce different grades of felt with different densities and characteristics.
High density A Grade felt can be used to seal in lubricants and stop contamination and the lower density firm white felt (FWF) and B Grades can be used for lubrication, wicking, wiping and insulating.
All of our Engineering Felts are
- Tested according to DIN Standards ISO 9001:2000, DIN reference DIN 61200
- Temperature range up to 93°C
- Colour natural (Off-White)
- Thickness 1.6mm-25.4mm
- Free from chlorofluorocarbon and bromofluorocarbon compounds as not used in manufacture
Engineering felts are mainly used in the mining and industrial areas and can be supplied in three different grades. The most popular being the A Grade felt for the mining industry due to harsh working conditions and both A & B Grade felt used in the industrial sector.
